What we collect
- Claim form: the clerk's and town board chair's names, email addresses and phone number, whether you asked for information by email (and the exact wording you agreed to), plus the time, IP address and browser of the submission.
- Signature: the chair's drawn signature, typed name, time, IP address and browser. It goes into the request letter we file with the state.
- Page visits: when a town page is visited, which page, the time, IP address, browser, and whether the visit came from one of our postcards.
- Public directory data: town clerk contact details published in the Wisconsin DOA Municipal Data System, which we use to mail postcards. We never show clerk contact details on our public pages.
How we use it
To file your town's wi.gov request with the State of Wisconsin, set up your website and email, contact you about your request, and send marketing email only to people who asked for it and confirmed. We don't sell your information.
Who we share it with
The State of Wisconsin (your request letter and technical details), and the service providers we use to run this site and send mail: Google Firebase (hosting), Neon (database), Resend (email) and Lob (postcards).
Your choices
Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and we honor it immediately. To see or delete what we hold about you, contact us.
Passwords
We never ask for or store your town's passwords.
